Patriotism and September 11th
December 5, 2011 in Articles

It is obvious, that with the mis-use of patriotism a government can hide and shun a lot of truth. We have seen this in our history books, with Hitler. And also in times of war, with the frequently used quote
“truth is the first casualty of war”… which lingers on as a haunting ghost. Strangely enough this phrase can be traced back to the ancient Greeks, to the time of Aeschylus. So why could this not be true for an event such as Sept.11? Immediately after, Government officials and the rest of the world became immensely patriotic. Remember those little American flag buttons on the suits of politicians? Well after Sept. 11th all officials began wearing this button.
Even today, the ultimate argument against Sept. 11 truth seeking, is the fact that you are unpatriotic if you believe that America was somehow responsible for the devastating event. Well America in general… wasn’t, but what about Dick Cheney’s Halliburton or Bush’s Carlyle Group or all of the major petroleum corporations such as BP. Did they truly have nothing to gain? Obviously they did, and this is not hidden or suppressed information. Why? Because every country in the world had to gain from this event and it is hard to find the guilty amongst many happy faces.
Yet Bush’s Government had more than just a little to gain from the event. They were able to finish a war they had started ten years earlier. We can all agree that this second war in Iraq would have been impossible to round up support for, if Sept. 11 had never happened.
Now, I can reverse the critique. If you think that Sept. 11th was a direct cause of Al-Qaida and that we are in Iraq for something resembling this reason… well than you are naïf and are being used to foment war with Iran. The American Plutocracy including their Department of Defense has stated for many years now that Oil is supreme on the list of National Security. Iraq has the second most oil on the planet. Presidents who have tried to nationalize their oil in (which makes it more expensive for us) get coup d’étated or corrupted into changing their policies. And if that doesn’t work, we say they are creating WMDs. But there is one error in that rhetoric: it has been proven by Vice Magazine that WMDs are for sale on the black market for around $5,000 dollars. Would it not be easier to just buy a weapon. Instead of being hassled by the U.N as it is the case for North Korea and Iran. Unfortunately war and petrol are the only things on every major politicians mind. And this rhetoric trickles
down into our media and unto our corporations and people. We are being divided for the sole cause of war. We are being influenced for nothing else than more military spending.
The part which really gets scary is the fact that we could definitely lose a war of such proportion.
Except that the Open Conspiracy is growing like never before. And we must clamor our voices above the dull fizzing sounds of our televisions and manipulated public figures. That is where the only true patriotism lies. We do not want war; war is not the definition of patriotism. Peace is the voice of patriotism. We want to live not die.
And like never before these war-mongers lobby and infiltrate all levels of government, to try and pull us into a war for more death, weapons used, chemicals used, toxic waste and all other toxicity which shall permeate the world’s air for decades to come. The world needs the Open Conspiracy to communicate their efforts and join in the pacifist revolt against World Implemented policies and the growing conflict between personal gain. And especially for the future of our World!
